This project centers around a platform designed to simplify and enhance the management of electric forklifts for a diverse set of users, including fleet managers and drivers. Through web and mobile apps, the platform offers robust tools for tracking efficiency, diagnosing issues, ensuring timely maintenance, and enabling real-time management.

Key Features and Product Characteristics

The platform offers a user-friendly solution to address the challenges of electric forklift management. Here’s a brief overview of its core features:

  1. Analysis Dashboard: A real-time dashboard collects data from forklifts, providing a visual summary of performance metrics like efficiency, energy consumption, and maintenance needs. This gives fleet managers a quick overview of their fleet's status to help make informed decisions.
  2. Diagnosis & Maintenance: Real-time monitoring predicts potential faults, allowing for proactive maintenance. The platform also tracks scheduled upkeep and parts replacement to extend forklift life and ensure safe operation.
  3. Forklift Location Tracking & Driver App Control: GPS tracking allows managers to monitor forklift locations in real-time and send work instructions directly to drivers via a mobile app, improving workflow and communication.

Challenges

One significant challenge was the handling of the large volume of real-time data transmitted via the MQTT protocol. Refining, analyzing, and presenting this data through the dashboard posed unique difficulties. Moreover, applying this new protocol to the system involved several rounds of trial and error to achieve optimal results.

The development process involved setting clear goals, refining system features, designing a user-friendly interface, and concluding with development and quality assurance to ensure performance and reliability.

Style guide / Design system
